Section 1: Introduction
ShipClips ("we," "our," or "us") operates shipclips.pro (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use ShipClips. By using ShipClips you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. ShipClips is designed for talking video content including streams, podcasts, and commentary.
Section 2: Information We Collect
When you create an account we collect your username, email address, and profile information through Clerk authentication. You may also sign in via Google, X (Twitter), or Twitch — in which case we receive basic profile information from those platforms as permitted by your settings there.
All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details on our servers. We store only your Stripe Customer ID to manage your subscription status.
When you upload a video file or provide a URL to a stream recording, that file is temporarily stored on our servers for processing. Video files are automatically deleted within 2 hours of processing completion. We do not permanently store your video content.
Transcripts, AI-generated clip selections, captions, and hashtags generated during processing are stored temporarily and deleted along with your video files after processing. You may download this content before deletion.
We collect basic usage information including pages visited, features used, and error logs to improve the Service. This data is anonymized where possible.
If you connect a TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, or other social media account we store an access token that allows ShipClips to post content on your behalf. These tokens are stored securely and used only to perform actions you explicitly request. You can revoke access at any time from your Settings page or directly from the social media platform.
Section 3: How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
• Provide, operate, and maintain the ShipClips service
• Process your video content and generate clips
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Send transactional emails including receipts and subscription notifications
• Post content to social media platforms on your explicit request
• Respond to support requests
• Improve and develop new features
• Comply with legal obligations
Section 4: AI Processing and Third-Party Services
ShipClips uses the following third-party AI and service providers to deliver core functionality:
Used to analyze transcripts and select clip moments, generate captions, hooks, and hashtags. Your transcript content is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this data. We do not send personally identifiable information to Claude — only transcript text from your video.
Used to transcribe audio from your video files. Your audio data is sent to OpenAI's API for transcription. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to this data.
Used for payment processing and subscription management. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data. We store only your Stripe Customer ID.
Used for authentication and user account management. Clerk's privacy policy applies to account data.
When you connect these accounts and request posting, your clip video and caption data is sent to these platforms via their APIs. Each platform's privacy policy applies to content posted there.
Section 5: Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers operated by Replit. Video processing is performed using Trigger.dev infrastructure. Generated clips are stored and delivered via Cloudflare R2 CDN. We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure API key storage, and access controls.
Video files are stored temporarily and automatically deleted within 2 hours of job completion. We recommend downloading your clips before this window closes.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Disconnect any connected social media account at any time
• Cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal

Section 8: TikTok Specific Disclosures
ShipClips integrates with the TikTok API. When you connect your TikTok account:
• We request permission to upload and publish videos on your behalf
• We only post content when you explicitly click the Post button or schedule a post
• We never post automatically without your action
• We store only the access token required to perform posting — we do not store your TikTok password or payment information
• You can revoke ShipClips access at any time via TikTok Settings → Apps and Websites → Manage App Permissions
• We do not sell or share your TikTok data with any third party
• We do not use your TikTok data for advertising or analytics
Section 9: Children's Privacy
ShipClips is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information please contact us at privacy@shipclips.pro and we will delete it promptly.
Section 10: Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of ShipClips after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
